Sheeting almost completed.

The exterior sheeting is done. They are still cutting in a few windows but this is a good representation of how the house will look.

Roof Truss completed. Exterior Sheeting Applied.

It was a very cold and windy day but the crew stayed working. The framers finished the top floor and trusses for the roof. The sheeting team then arrived and applied the plywood to the exterior of the house. Many of the windows still need to be cut in. The workers would take breaks and huddle in their van to warm up. It was 21 degrees and winds around 15 knots off of the bay.

The View.

There was no work this weekend. It was a beautiful sunny day so I took a few photos of the view from where the windows will be set.

Brighton and Gillian.

Brighton will be happy when he doesn't have to share a bedroom with Gillian anymore. Now that he is getting bigger it is getting a bit tight.

Second and third floors are added.

I didn't get a chance to take visit much this week as it was our deadline for work. I missed a few days and the house is almost completely framed. It snowed overnight and they will not work today. I did get to climb up and through the house. It is getting exciting.

View from deck.

This is the view off of what will be the deck on the second floor. I don't love the power lines but it is a pretty good view. There is a boat the washed up on shore in the storm the other night.

First Floor is up.

Today is the first day I have seen what my house will look like. It is exciting. These guys worked all weekend.

Framing is underway.

I stopped by this morning after some heavy rain last night. I was excited to see the framing has begun. I was a little nervous about the moat that has formed around my foundation but, I guess that's what happens when you are building a house on an oversized sandbar.

Block is complete.

Today they poured the slab and will place the sill plate on for the framing to begin. The opening in front is for the garage. This will be poured at a later time.

The progress has begun. In one day the masons laid a ton of block.

The pilings have been driven in and the site has been excavated in preparation for the foundation construction.
